I want to see the storyline lead up to Hawkeye!! And whatever else they were going to before they decided stories were for chumps and abandoned everything.
I with you on this. There were a lot of interesting stories they were setting up and then, poof. Nothing.
Like Steve – admittedly I have a soft spot for tank-punching baby Steve but we barely got anything for him story-wise. Or Scott and Maria – who were stuck at rank 2 and then nothing.
I get why they made the changes but I dunno, I miss a lot from version 1 and darn it, I want more for the storyline characters other than what we got. We’ve got more development for event characters we’ll never use or see again except for on the mission board.
The mole thing was handled badly – I think it was something to do with Mephisto who played double agent. But then again, I didn’t sign up for Mephisto Academy so there was lot of him compared to other characters.
@captainneverever i only got it this year! its so addicting, but I wanted more about my fave Steve .. apparently there is a chance to get wwii steve BUT they only have ONE battle for 200 shields to get it @ 5 stamina!!!

And apparently they had those achievements with Tony and Steve in a previous version but not anymore and I am so disappointed I missed that :(((((
Anyway, their stories are all over the place and while the events are cool, they’re like back to back and then I have to decide whether or not I should spend effort
Well, it’s kind of a different game now with version 2 and there are some good things for people who have recently picked it up.
The game had those quest lines – and Steve shows up kind of late in the game. There’s a lot of reasons for Steve coming mid-way through the story due to character mixture, need for different types of characters to kick the game off, balance, etc.
The events have self-contained stories so you get an entire arc. The original storyline (which I understand has been altered a bit for version 2) didn’t get added to after a long time. So if you weren’t there from the beginning, you get a better story experience now. With a lot of different character interactions – we still get Steve and Tony interacting in version 2!
And it looks like they’re giving people a chance to earn Cap’s costumes. You might have been around when the only chance to get a Cap outfit was through purchasing crates with shards. Although earning an outfit through multiple fights to earn 200 shields can be bad – at least there’s chance to earn the outfit without using shards.
*o/* waving pom-poms for you!!! for Cap’s costume. WWII Cap is one of the best with some great actions.
So, yeah, that’s not going to happen.
