X-men Evolution went all in for Logan remembering Steve from WWII and covered that in the episode, Operation Rebirth.

Featuring such hits as:

Logan remembering when he met Steve

Liberating a concentration camp with prisoners of war (and baby!Magneto – yeah, that’s Magneto Steve’s holding) together:

And Logan pensively staring down at Steve in ice-covered stasis (Steve had a bad reaction to the serum) and vowing to help his friend:

So the cartoons featuring Steve are A Trip.

Oh, man, this is great stuff! Thank you! Man, sometime I need to sit down and watch all the X-Men cartoons. I didn’t even know Steve was in them!

Steve features in an episode in both X-Men Evolution and in X-Men: The Animated Series.

The X-Men Evolution episode (Operation: Rebirth) is about how Magneto re-activates the Rebirth chamber in order to go younger (meanwhile Rogue is not doing well in history, specifically in WWII history); supposedly Steve and Logan blew up all the chambers because Steve doesn’t want other people to suffer. Features: true-to-the-616-comics Fury, Xavier pondering Logan’s real age, and Logan angsting over Steve.

Fun fact – X-Men Evolution referenced Tony with the appearance of the Stark Tower in New York in an episode.

The Captain America episode in X-Men: The Animated Series was Old Soldiers in season 5 (aka the worst-animation-ever season). Logan goes to France, gets children’s cartoon drunk, and reminisces in a cemetery about joining Cap and the Howling Commandos on a mission in WWII. There’s some modern day story in there too. But the thing is that Logan again angsts over Steve.

Hmmmmmmm. There seems to be a pattern there.
