So much cute in one photo – three little black-footed ferrets playing! One of the most endangered mammals in North America, black-footed ferrets once numbered in the tens of thousands, but by the 20th century, they were believed to be extinct twice. In 1981, a small population of the species was rediscovered in Meeteetse, Wyoming. Scientists captured some of these ferrets, and they became the foundation for a successful captive breeding and reintroduction program that continues today at the National Black-footed Ferret Conservation Center in Colorado. Part of the annual Cap-Ironman Remix Event, Remix Relay will run from December 8 to February 24.
Relay Remix is a remix chain in the style of a speedy game of Telephone
for artists and writers. This is a great challenge for those of you who
like the idea of continued remixes and thinking up remix ideas on your
feet.
Sign-ups are open now until December 22, and will be accepted in the order we receive your information. Remember that all participants must be 18 or older to join.
To join, read through all of the information on our Remix Relay information post then send us an email at cap.im.events@gmail.com with the subject line “2019 Remix Relay Sign-Up” and all the necessary information.
You must
use an email address that you check frequently for your sign-up and are
responsible for checking your inbox regularly throughout the challenge.
If you’d like to provide a starting work for the Relay chains, please send us the finished work along with your sign-up by December 16th. Please be aware that if your work is accepted as the starting work, you must create the final remix and must be available in mid-February to do so.
