We all love Steve and Tony, but sometimes they’re just not very good at being happy, are they? (And sometimes we don’t want them to be happy anyway.) There is just so much drama and uncertainty and both the happy and unhappy ending have to be earned – and let’s be honest we like the sad and dark feelings that evokes in us. So, today is the day to rec all you favorite angsty fanworks!

During rec week you can make a Tumblr post with your recommendations and tag it with #capimrecweek within the first five tags on the post. Please include the day’s theme somewhere in the body of the post. On the dedicated day we will reblog posts for the day’s theme on our community Tumblr and later include them in the masterlist.
We’ve all done it. We’ve finished a great fic. We’ve sighed contentedly and closed the tab. We’ve moved on to other things.
Then days, weeks, maybe months later we remember it. Maybe it’s only a line or two. Maybe it’s a distinct situation. We go back to find it… only we can’t. We search high. We search low. We scour Ao3 tags and Tumblr for hours, but it’s nowhere to be found.
Finding Stony is here to help! We’ll search out that fic for you using the power of crowdsourcing! Someone out there knows the name and location of the fic you are looking for, and we’d like to help connect those dots.
How it works:
1. First and most importantly, please follow and signal boost us! This only works if we have followers who can help identify fics!
2. Tell us about your fic! The more detail you can give us the better. It’s super hard for us to find a fic with the ask of “Mutual pining. Then they kiss”. Think about the following:
Characters other than Steve and Tony
Side pairings
Unique situations or quotes
Locations
Length
Where you think you read it the first time
Wow long ago you read it
Literally anything else you can think of regarding the fic
3. Let us know if you want to post your ask anonymously/reply privately, otherwise we will post your ask publicly for sourcing. Remember, you can always submit your ask anonymously.
4. Each post will be given a request number. If you know the fic, please message us with the details of the fic and the request number so we can post it.
5. Be patient! We are just getting started here, and it’s going to be a learning experience for everyone involved.

For organizers – Please state if
you have any experience running fandom auctions or other fandom events. Previous experience is not required but is preferred
*For developers* – THE BIGGEST PRIORITY AT THE MOMENT. We’re looking for people who are familiar with coding/programming and the things mentioned in this post.
Developers won’t have to work from scratch as asparrowsfall was generous enough to give us the code that she
made. Instead, you’ll be running
the site based off that code and making tweaks to it wherever necessary. Once signups and bidding go
live in October, you’ll make sure everything is running smoothly and
work as tech support.
For designers – You must be able to make graphics or edits. Here are examples of what we’re looking for (1 and 2 (for the second example, depending on how many signups we have, we may or may not do creator banners as they take a lot of time and effort to make)). Please provide us with examples of your work.
