B – A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
Well, I didn’t get the appeal of Steve/Thor at first – the pairing felt very much like “dating your brother” but I have a multi-shipping friend who talked me into trying a few fics when I was talking about trying to find something to scratch a particular itch (brothers-in-arms type fics). Now she’s trying to talk me into T’Challa/Eric, so far I’ve been resistant.

N – Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
More Avengers Assemble and Marvel Adventures Avengers fic for Steve/Tony. More fantasy AUs that aren’t king/knight AUs – like fairies or elves or something like that. And definitely more humor fic – good humor stuff is hard to write so I really appreciate authors who try and we could use a lot more humor and silliness in the fandom.

P – Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
This might have been done already – how Steve as a famous quilt or knitting teacher and Tony is a new student getting into quilting or knitting. Or maybe they are rival teachers/designers and there’s friction and then hate sex in the yarn aisle … I know embroidery but I don’t know knitting that well to write this.

Hmm, I think that we really need in the Steve/Tony corner of the world are more off-the-wall, crazy and fun fics. At the height of Stargate Atlantis fandom, authors were doing all sorts of off-the-wall stuff like one character was a sentient rainbow and the other character something else and they fell in love. That sort of thing. I found myself writing a lot of Cap and Tony fic that were them in uniform and doing the superhero thing over the past two years so I need to get back to the AUs too. But gosh for all the CACW-inspired fic that’s terrific out there, I would like to see a big helping of Steve and Tony lost in a video game stories (not AvAc) or they are rival flying carpet salesmen or office buddies playing pranks on each other or pokemon trainers …
