How to salvage a beat up pen holder. 😀

Wrap in paper with bit of excess on top. Tuck it in. Roll in a layer of paper inside to keep things clean (there was rust in mine). Secure everything with tape.

If you want another layer of protection, wrap the whole thing in book cover plastic.
