HI guys! You may or may not know that I’m heavily involved in animal rescue and I’m a foster family for animals of all kinds in need. I just took in a baby ferret that is very sick, severely malnourished and in need of some major TLC if he’s going to pull through. His name is Simon.
He’s a sweet, lovely little dude, but he’s got a ways to go before he’ll be living the good life, and we all have our fingers crossed that he’s going to bounce back now that he’s getting the right care. He came from a nasty situation where he was getting no care at all, and he’s skin and bones. He’s had his first vet visit today (he was not a fan!) and is on medication and supplements to help him recover.
I hate to ask anything of my lovely followers, but the rescue (located in Southern Ontario, Canada) is running a fundraiser to cover some of his costs. The rescue is entirely volunteer-run so every dollar goes right to the vet to pay his bills.
It’s frequently a struggle for the rescue to raise enough cash to pay for them. We’re grateful to our amazing vets who offer us discounts and waive interest fees and are incredibly amazing, but alas there’s still a hefty cost.

I’ve dedicated countless hours to saving over 70 foster animals with a variety of rescues over the last five years; my heart belongs to Stony and animal rescue!
