We all love Steve and Tony, but sometimes they’re just not very good at being happy, are they? (And sometimes we don’t want them to be happy anyway.) There is just so much drama and uncertainty and both the happy and unhappy ending have to be earned – and let’s be honest we like the sad and dark feelings that evokes in us.
