Okay, sooo…maybe Thane isn’t hitting as hard because he doesn’t want to fight? I mean, that’s the only reason I have for the results I’m seeing.
Lv29/4/silver Groot manages to survive one hit and then is knocked out by Thane’s second attack. Lv42/5/gold Cap survives Thane’s front row attack, knocks off his ult, and then may or may not manage a second attack.
As for Spidey…I have him in the second row, which is GREAT for all sorts of reasons. Not the least because he seems to evade half of Thane’s attacks. Namely because of his ult and the other times because…I don’t know? But he evades them! Which leaves more time for Strange and Star-Lord because until Thane gets off his ult the back row is untouchable.
Yeah, I got all the way to the 100 Infinity gauntlets milestone because of the extra black roses being dropped along the way and also because I am now battling Thane lv90. I started at 65 and then gradually picked my way up. Alas, my pull was x10 Star-Lord shards, leaving me at 10/100. At least I now have Nebula to silver and Killmonger is on campus.
Wait what. How. What!? You’re fighting level 90!?
I’m doing about 13,000-17,000 damage per fight. Sometimes as low as 5,000 if Spidey doesn’t evade. And I had over 300 particles, so I just went for the higher levels.

I place Teen Groot first in the front row and then Cap second. Spider-Man goes in the second row to possibly evade attacks and give more time for Strange and Star-Lord. Star-Lord is the first in line for the last row, and then there’s Strange.

Yeah, I’ve been told, I lost a Ton of points like a dummy. Well, I want those Nebula shards only, so it isn’t so bad, but still, I’m an idiot.
It’s tricky to figure out which level to fight at, to be honest. I’m not into the math-side of things. I had a lot of event energy saved up so I went for it and was surprised at easy the fights were. That wasn’t the case the last two times.

I really like the milestone rewards this round. Leaderboard rewards are chintzy.
